- Query deserves diversity (QDD) is the name for a special Google algorithm which generates more heterogeneous SERPs for search expressions containing ambiguous keywords, i.e. where the same keyword has radically different meanings, but there is no clue in the rest of the expression to indicate which meaning is intended.

- Query deserves freshness (QDF) is the name for a special Google algorithm which gives newer pages higher SERPs rank for search expressions which indicate a desire for currency, e.g. through the use of keywords naming people, places or events currently in the news.
